The Paraguayan cuisine has had many different influences and represents the region of South America. Brazilian influences can be found in the complex meat and egg dishes as well as the variety of pastries and baked dishes. The spices found in Paraguayan cuisine can be contributed to Mexico. The food in Paraguay also incorporates some of the same elements found in Argentina and Uruguay due to the early colonists from Spain. The native, Guarani influence can be found through the use of many tropical ingredients. The combination of so many influences leads to the unique flavors of Paraguayan cuisine (Paraguay Gastronomy).
